our lips move
in dialogue
we don’t remember
as our words
evaporate
in the air
but the conversation
we don’t have
hangs forever
between us

Powerful writing.
Thank you.
Yes powerful
Thank you, Sheldon.
I’m just curious… I know Frank Sinatra and Fred Astaire, but I can’t really find a relationshiop the two have in your beautiful message. It might be Rambo or Schwarzenegger! Maybe it’s the Monday blues here in Manila… Hahaha!
They both sang many of the same Cole Porter songs, as did many other singers, of course, but there’s an effortlessness about their delivery and an understatement of emotion. I hope your Monday ends on a less bluesy note.
Now I get it… Hahaha! But I like Frank Sinatra more than Astaire. He was really a cool singer! Thanks!
Ah, but no one danced like Astaire. So they were both cool in their own way.
I forgot about that… Yup, Astaire was a very good dancer! 🙂
Just wonderful.
Thank you very much.
Perfect. This stuck out for me with my ever growing motto in mind that life is always a song and a dance.
Indeed it is, though sometimes one sings a bit off key and are a little sloppy with the steps. But the point is really to sing & dance anyway.
Love the poem, Prof. Durso…and the comments too… Have a good week everyone…
Thanks, Fernando. Glad you survived the storm.
That not spoken can ruin a relationship. Compelling message here.
Thank you, Mary. What’s not spoken is sometimes more damaging than what is.
Yes, we all leave a lot unsaid. It’s safer that way.
True enough.
I thought this was wonderful. Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you very much.
There are too many conversations like that. Sometimes it’s hard to walk to work, there are so many just floating around thinking they’re invisible, blocking egress.
How true that is, Jeff.
I love this one. 🙂
Thank you.
