Love is a universal migraine,
A bright stain on the vision
Blotting out reason.
Symptoms of true love
Are leanness, jealousy,
Laggard dawns;
Are omens and nightmares–
Listening for a knock,
Waiting for a sign:
For a touch of her fingers
In a darkened room,
For a searching look.
Take courage, lover!
Can you endure such grief
At any hand but hers?
Love the opening line!!! 🙂 ❤
Me, too.
😊❤️
Great performance by a great performer.
Loved this one! 😊
I’m glad that you do.
Thanks! 🙂
Oh, yes! Nice said, love is a universal migraine 🙂
It generally has been, or at least eventually becomes one, for me.
Wow this is beautiful! “Take courage, lover!
Can you endure such grief
At any hand but hers?”
Ah, to endure is to love, isn’t it? Though I do think it might be nice to have to endure less grief. But one must take the yin with the yang.
Indeed indeed! Then again how would you appreciate the good without knowing the bad ?
So true. We need opposites in our lives: experiences, feelings, ideas. They help define our character.
