In Kate's World
When are you planning to return, Leonard?
Leslie
In 2 weeks exactly. April 21st.
Via con Dias.
Leslie
Thanks. My only concern is my cat who hasn’t made this trip in 6 years and 11 hours in a carrier, even if he is in the cabin with me, is a long, long time.
Can you sedate him? A little Gravol? I wouldn’t know the dosage but it might calm your cat.
Leslie
I’m asking the vet to give him something just before I take him to the airport. Hopefully it’ll help.
Got move. He’ll know the correct dosage.
Leslie
I wish you all of good. And be safe my friend… 🙂 🙂
Thank you, Mirna. Hope things are better for you there.
i dont know yet but… i hope…
Bon voyage!
Thanks, Mary.
I love your words…enjoy yourself. E
Thank you, Elizabeth.
I am an expat too in Saudi Leonard. Not far from Turkey. I understand it, about how you feel, and the impending crisis in the middle East. Good luck to another phase of your life.
“The desire to move, to satisfy your curiosity or ease your fear, to change the circumstances of your life, to be a stranger, to make a friend, to experience an exotic landscape, to risk the unknown.”
Paul Theroux
That quote from Paul Theroux travel is for you Leonard. Have a nice day ahead.
And thanks for the quote. I haven’t read him in a while so perhaps I should revisit him myself soon.
I would eager to recommend his book if you don’t mind. “My Other Life.” Half fictional half biographical from him. I read it 4 years ago and I may say, that man knows what he was trying to say. The book plot still linger on my head and some scene in there still clear on my eye.
I’ll check it out after I return to the US. I will put it on my wish list at amazon.
My need to return has to do more with an aging group of friends & family and a desire to be able to spend more time with them, not in a desire to leave here. I will not sever my ties to this country but my returns will be for shorter durations of time. Good luck where you are. Hope it is not too restrictive for you there.
That’s sweet.
….till seasons change and miles melt away…….love these words.
Thank you, Lillian.
