In Kate's World
That’s sad – modern times!
Yes, a modern couple.
Sat across from a couple in a restaurant not too long ago. For the remaining twenty minutes we were there, they never said a word to one another, but were texting the entire time. I wondered if they were communicating with each other as they sat across the dining table. Ha!
Yes, an all too common sight, sad to say.
People are drifting farther and farther apart. I sat in a booth next to a woman and her granddaughter. The grandmother kept asking her granddaughter to please put down her phone and talk to her but the girl never even looked up, even after her food was put down in front of her. The grandmother gave up and that was that.
Sad but true.
