still thunderstruck
by the surprise
in your eyes
losing myself
in the promise
of a sigh

Bill Morrissey was one damn fine songwriter.
He was!
I miss him to this day. There has to be more things that he recorded that have been released yet. I have all his CD’s (including the interview about his book) and I listen to them often. I hope there is more hidden away somewhere.
He was a terrific songwriter. I was fortunate enough to have seen him perform in a small club in New York. I play his CDs often myself.
I too hope there is more material in the vault live or studio…..we need all the Bill Morrissey we can get in this mixed up crazy world…..miss you Bill…
We agree on that.
thanks for keeping Bill’s homefire burning.
I brought him to Paris 3 times, and had his book Edson published in French.
He would have loved that short wicked poem I’m sure.
Hank in pAris
I saw him only once in a club on Long Island, New York but had been a fan for years before that. A wonderful talent sorely missed.
you can download the complete songbook of Bill’s songs at http://mysongwriters.com/BM/SongsofBillMorrissey.pdf with a poem by Greg Brown
Thanks. I’ll check that out.
All the songs written by Bil are there; not those he covered. The John Hurt estate did not send their approval, and we are still waiting for Ian Tyson’s reply by fax 😉
Thanks for the quote and the link from Woody
Glad you like both.
