there was the sea and
the plaintive cry of seagulls
you stood at the edge
with a look I could not read
waves broke
the sun did not shine
there was the sea and
the plaintive cry of seagulls
you stood at the edge
with a look I could not read
waves broke
the sun did not shine

In Kate's World
After a while it is very easy to read the look on the face of a cat. It is always easy to read the look on the face of a faithful dog and a complete stranger of a dog, BUT when ‘they’ stand on the edge of the sea, or on a mountain top and they have that look, it is futile trying to even imagine that you should be able to read it. It is better at those moments to pour a small glass of whisky and look somewhere else because everywhere else, things will make sense.
I’m pouring that glass right now.
