Thanks. I haven’t read him since I was in grad school at Columbia but came across a copy my friend Ali had in his house and started reading him again. He made a powerful impression on me years ago and still makes a powerful impression today.
Your post reminded me of an episode of the Big Bang Theory whereby Sheldon is going to visit his mother and Howard, who is going with him, suggests that they bring her a gift. Sheldon answers: I’m bringing her the gift of my knowledge.
Of course, this shows Sheldon’s ego-centric self but knowledge is indeed a great gift. 🙂
