sometimes
too many choices
are worse
than none at all
indecision
sets in
clouding the brain
which never deals well
with clouds
and one stands
on precipices
looking everywhere
but down
which is ultimately
where one goes
when stepping off
into the unknown
…but not always.
Going down, though, is not always a bad thing.
Yea, those nets nets of air hang there empty. I know exactly what you mean.
Thanks for the comment. It’s never easy stepping off but it’s reassuring to know some people understand the why.
Sometimes stepping off into the unknown is not the worst. There’s stepping in the unknown; stumbling over the unknown. and the always delicate stepping over the unknown so it does not wake up or notice you. At any rate I hope the landing has been soft, or the descent accelerated with wisdom.
One never really knows what’s what until one hits the ground. And then, of course, one has to shake off the dust and get one’s bearings. But I appreciate the comment.
I’m a shocker for looking for all the choices, then getting confused with which might be the best and not doing anything! this reminds me of that wonderful saying, ‘Leap, and the net will appear.’
Thanks for the comment. I’ll look for the net.
Reblogged this on Leonard Durso.
Leap and you may soar 🙂
Hopefully anyway.
