I’m glad you liked it but if this is a nomination for an award, I must thank you again. However, I don’t really feel comfortable with awards. Your appreciation of what I do is an award enough.
That’s quite deep. Old visits long forgotten.
As one gets older, it seems all that was forgotten slips back to confront again.
I really love this poem! I’m sure so many do this, I’m heading that way myself! 😉
I was just wondering if I could publish this poem in the next issue of a free online literary magazine of mine?
It’s a new website and only has three issues published at the moment, but it’s had a lot of views and regularly gains new email followers as well as readers on WordPress. It’s free for anyone to read and the aim is primarily to help promote writers on websites and blogs from all over the internet. https://thewritinggarden.wordpress.com/
The copyright remains with the writer and I always include a link back to where the work was originally published and also any other social media links you may like me to include (please let me know which ones – if you have any).
If you’d interested in allowing me to publish your work please check out the magazine and let me know. But if you’d rather not, don’t hesitate to say no, I really won’t mind.
Suzy 🙂
Hi Suzy, Sorry about the slow response but I was in Istanbul laying claim to my new apartment and this sort of slipped by me. There’s this period of transition I am still in but it’s all good. Anyway I checked your site and yes, of course you may include it. Thank you. I like what you’re doing and appreciate your wanting to include my poem.
Apologies myself Leonard for taking ages to get back to you! I didn’t receive a notification of your comment for some reason, only thought to double check late one night last week – glad I did! 🙂
Thank you so much, that will be great to add your poem to the next issue. I’ve just started to put it together now, and I’m hoping it will be complete by the first week of July. When it’s published I’ll get back to you here with a link. Are there any other links you’d like me to include in addition to your blog? They don’t have to be on the subject of writing they can be anything at all relating to you.
Now my turn to apologize. As for any other links, just to my author page on amazon but that’s on my blog so maybe it’s not necessary. Anyway, thanks again for including me.
