I admire your positive attitude. I always iron under protest but Bailey’s should definitely get me through it. x
Well when you live alone as long as I have, there’s no one to protest to so I just iron on.
I empathise completely. Thank you for the poetic beverage and enjoy the rest of your Thursday.
Thanks again. It’s too hot to cook so I’m ordering a pizza and will watch some Sidney Pollack films. Hope your Thursday is as relaxing.
Thank you very much. You have a good program going on. Nice work. My Thursday was pampered and you’re right. It is way too hot!
This made me smile
1. Because I haven’t ironed anything in years (I methodically search for clothes with fabrics that have no need for it)
2. Because I detest this chore so much only an angry poem would be inspired, unlike the calm, sane one you’ve written (I’ve spent so many a teenage Saturday night ironing piles of clothes which took hours I think I’ve developed a mental ‘allergy’ to it )
You’ve taken a simple, mundane activity and told the story in such a way that made it instead a joyful passing of time. We’ll done!
Thanks very much. I used to send my shirts to the dry cleaners but cannot find one in walking distance from my new apartment so I have reverted to laundering & ironing my own shirts again. And if I set the proper mood, it is pleasant in its own way.
If you ‘must’ then by all means make it fun! Carry on… 🙂
Lovely….I could almost feel the breeze (and I know that sounds silly, but maybe not to a poet?)
Thanks. I’m glad you liked it.

More or less.
I like this…but then I like ironing 🙂
