I”m all for having a live without pain and suffering. I don’t think it teaches us anything except that we don’t want more of it and we hate it. It sucks the joy and happiness out of life and, in my opinion, doesn’t make us better people. It kills off parts of us and makes us miserable. Other people see it differently, of course, but that’s how I see it. I’ve never met a single person who felt they were better off because of pain, loss, suffering or sadness. Not one.
Unfortunately, it is the yin & yang of life. Whether we learn from it or not, it is there.
boredom, I dare say… There’s been some pain in my life, as we all have, and it has helped me to have compassion for others…
