here
under a full moon
that shines
on we two
together
though apart
years miles oceans
of regret
for actions words
not done said
remorse
for what was
how to bridge
this distance
to show
heart mind soul
illuminated
here
in moonlight
so close
yet so far
away
This is full of music….
Thank you, Robert.
Just marvelous, Len! One of my all-time favorites that you have written.

Thanks, Jeff.
Really beautiful.
Thank you very much for saying that.
I remember when my son just started talking. I was carrying him on my shoulders outside to see the moon. He kept crying out “the ball papa, get the ball”. He was very disappointed that I did not reach up and get it for him. Your poem stirred this memory from over 30 years ago !
I am glad it revived a fine memory for you.
Lovely inflexion in the rhythm. I’m staring at a cloudy moon this evening so the words are extra fitting.
Thank you. Enjoy your moon.
