Sounds like a wonderful moment 🙂
Yes. it was. Thank you.
Which book?
That was a reblog but the book I was rereading of Hemingway’s at the time was Islands in the Stream. I tend to reread something by Hemingway every year.
Well, you have chosen a great writer to re-read. I love how he captures us and all of a sudden we are on, and in the journey.
Too bad the demons took him from us.
Demons will sometimes do that if we don’t learn to face them early on.
True, but sometimes we need some assistance facing them. I’m thankful for the doctors who have walked the crooked mile with me. It isn’t a character flaw. We can’t just snap out of it. Lord knows we would give everything to have the black dog exit to never return. Depression is not a weakness. The depth of its darkness can only be realized by those who suffer from it. My final and most fundamental goal in my life is to talk about it openly. By doing this I hope I can give courage to others. It is painful to suffer the stigma and shame from having a mental illness, but it is nothing in comparison to the powerful sheer white panic, and the black hole of despair that drowns us.
Have a good week, Leonard. Stay safe! ☕️❤️
What you do takes so much courage that I admire you.
Thank you, Leonard. If I can reach only one person, and offer them hope, then I have helped. There were people that did not leave my side during my darkest hours. They were my teachers.
☕️😔
And now you teach others.
Hopefully, yes.
☕️❤️
Sounds perfect!
