This reminds me of a quote that I have on a post-it note on my office wall (I am uncertain to whom to attribute it… maybe it was me in a moment of clarity – – for some reason I seem to remember hearing Ray Bradbury say it ) – “If you wait too long, it’s over!” Your poem creates that same sense of urgency in me to appreciate each moment as much as possible and be aware that, good and bad, they pass so quickly. Always like the way you put the words down on “paper”.
I’m glad you feel that way. After all, we can’t repeat these moments ever in exactly the same way.
