I have boxes of old notebooks, a couple even dating back to high school. I keep them because I have fantasies of some kind of legacy. That’s my suspicion, anyway.
I have kept all my diaries, one day I used to tell myself when I am “old” I will sit down and read them all, but doubt I ever will, yet I cannot burn them. Excellent Blog.
I actually do read them on occasion. Lot of material to mine there.
I keep mine so I never forget.
Some of the stories in them are surprising.
That they are.
That is very good
How quickly we get caught up in living that when we read the columns of our younger years, we are suddenly transported to our own history.
And it’s a good thing not to forget it. Much to learn there.
