Along the Channel by Wang An Shi (translation)

Another translation by Mary Tang on her blog Life is But This

Life is But This 命

My Chinese to English translation of a Song Dynasty poem by Wang An Shi (1021 – 1086):

Along the Channel by Wang An Shi

Along the channel folds of willows fall

Plum blossoms are everywhere on the slopes

A sedan chair is weaving through the wheat field

A mulberry tree stands in its way and forces its retreat

(c) Mary Tang 鄧許文蘭 2017

溝港。王安石

溝港重重柳,山坡處處梅。

小輿穿麥過,狹徑礙桑回。
