sitting in the café
my morning ritual
a child of six
wanders up to the bar
tattoos on both arms
a balloon in hand
parenting I think
in need of repair

Missed you Leonard. Hope all is well.
Leslie
Thank you, Leslie. Still stranded in Sofia but hope to return home soon.
As long as you’re okay.
Hope you get home soon….
Thank you.
Interesting, how different cultures handle child-rearing. Here in NYC, the bartender would call the police who would come with a child protective services worker. The police would next be “talking to” the parents.
And the child meanwhile always living with the results.
Shared this on FB, Yikes! Poor child.
Thanks, Patricia.
Hmmm. Different parenting indeed. Basis of a poem, I think, once the shock gets under control.
A shock indeed
Love it
Thank you.
This is so sad 😦 poor child
If the child has tattoos and a balloon, he/she is clearly not doing too badly.
