another timely quote from Douglas Moore’s Art of Quotation blog
“Ask any Mexican, any Puerto Rican, any black man, any poor person – ask the wretched how they fare in the halls of justice, and then you will know, not whether or not the country is just, but whether or not it has any love for justice, or any concept of it. It is certain, in any case, that ignorance, allied with power, is the most ferocious enemy justice can have.”
Nothing ever changes 💜
If it does, it seems to just get worse.
And boy do we have ignorance in power…rampant, unchecked.
Not just in the US but other countries as well.
It says a lot when those “in power” embrace their ignorance and encourage others to do the same.
Yes, and it says how much troublewe are in.
Truth.
YES! Yes! yes!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I had my first brain surgery, a craniotomy, I was in a coma for a couple days, the dreams/terrors were pretty real. I dreamt I travelled the whole of human history the past two millennia, I grabbed evil by the shoulder to turn it around so I could look at it…and it was ignorance.
I am not sleeping well with the current atmosphere of alternate truths and hate running my country.
I understand that all too well.
