I suspect we have little choice…
There’s always choice. We just might not like what it is.
Seems you dipped into a past poem to reemphasize your focus on the future. Not sure what to think of that. Irony is compelling but more to my liking is the notion that time has no meaning. The thought that you can’t go back contradicts the reality that it’s all now of a piece. Even the step into a future is embedded in the past as if we knew all along that step was there. In its simplest form, every year we live through the day we will die. Just because we are unaware doesn’t make it untrue.
I like your old poem btw. Complicated rambling poem but it seemed true.
Yes, I did and I don’t disagree with you. It’s just that this was prompted by the death of a friend here and I thought those lines appropriate for that reason.
Oh, sorry. I lost my mom in January so … I really am sorry along with you. Please excuse my impossibly long comment. I do go on sometimes
It’s okay and sorry about the loss of your mother. Mine went in January, too, but years ago. Your loss is freah still. So sorry.
Just what I needed to hear… many thanks
Glad you like it.
