Judy Collins came by
this morning
to sing of moons
and clowns
while I ate my eggs
followed by Mary Chapin Carpenter
Nanci Griffith Roberta Flack
and finally
in time for coffee
Emmylou
who walked from Boulder
to Birmingham
before flying over
to Izmir
to give this city boy
some country soul
who says
I don’t have a woman
in my life
any morning
afternoon evening
3am if needed
they are there
here
helping me gain
control again
Well, you are fortunate but I think they are mostly more away then with you. 🙂
Ah, but whenever I want them, there they are.
Dolce Domenica 🙂
That it is. And I hope yours is sweet, too.
Try as we might.. they are inseparable.. The mind.. and the heart.
Very nice..!!
Thank you.
You’re in excellent company! Anita
Thanks. I think so, too.
Marvelous. One of my favorites. Perfect title and perfect words, I think. Perfectly perfect!
You are too kind. Any credit really belongs to the ladies.
You’re too modest. Again, great work!
You have some fine, fine, breakfast companions. Favorites all. I would add Alison Krauss, but I’m bent that way.
She does join me on occasion, too, but the changer only allows 5 discs at a time so they all take turns.

Found you through Marcy, at Illustrated Poetry. Beautiful ease for breakfast reading. Meredith
