Wonderful! Very beautiful 🙂
I’m glad you think so.
Beautiful poetry.
A very deep thought… How can one seek light with eyes for darkness? I’m not sure how to interpret this poem. Is he blind? Or are his eyes like those of a cat giving him some sense of light in darkness? Does this poem relates to one who is seeking enlightenment from a world full of lies and betrayal portrayed by darkness? Who boy, it woke me up like a coffee…!
The eyes are for darkness because the poet lives in a dark night. You can imagine the darkness to be caused by many things, and thus the light one seeks is the end of that darkness. Your ideas are all valid interpretations of that.
This stopped me in my tracks too for the sheer simplicity evoking a deep truth. Our eyes are designed to seek any light whatsoever for without it we cannot see. Such a significant truth.
So true. I, too, love the simplicity here.
One word: BEAUTIFUL 🙂
Glad you feel that way about this one. I think so, too.
