    You’ve captured it, I was born near the sea and spent a great deal of my life trying to get back there. I miss the salt but I love my inland seas, Michigan, Huron and Superior.

  2. You may not have meant this in your poem, but to me, I think of the seagulls hanging out at the dumpsters in parking lots and have wondered if they ever miss the sea. Wonderful poem in few words 🙂

  3. That is so touching. I live by the Sea and there is something that pulls you – just to stand and smell the Sea to watching the waves rolling in and out and the Seagulls on the water – you have captured so much. Thank you.
