Thanks for the Reblog!
You’re welcome. It is most appropriate.
So appropriate today.
Unfortunately true.
Still true 80 years later. Graphic example of how history keeps repeating.
Unfortunately so.
“Let it be the pioneer on the plain Seeking a home where he himself is free. …” Now that’s something I can agree with. It’s not at all the picture grew up with of the US, and definitely not how I see it now. I only encountered this idea when reading Laura Engels books to my kids, before that I was totally unaware of this original ideal, it helped me understand somewhat.
Unfortunately when these people talk about changing America “back to what it was”, they are not talking about that pioneer spirit where all can be free..
hmmm I suspect you are right.
I wish it wasn’t so.
Thank you for sharing Leonard. Mr. Trump has pulled off what he calls; “The Art Of The Deal”. God Bless America, please, amen.
Not a good deal for anyone really. His supporters will soon find that out, too.
For some of us, this is a day of mourning. The death of our country..
It started to die during the GW Bush years and though there was a slight recovery during Obama, the Republicans made it impossible for a full recovery. Now the sins of that party have come home to roost in the form of Trump.
Well…it certainly was an interesting evening. “Interesting” as in the old Chinese curse.
Right, Jim. Right.
And the future will also be interesting. As I see it, our job is to be true to ourselves, support our communities, and find as much humor as we possibly can.
