When rain fell on both of us
Thousands of plants
Grew on our coats.
After you left
Rain began to fall on me alone
But on my coat nothing grew.

Glad you like this poem.
I really dig that opening stanza
“When rain fell on both of us
Thousands of plants
Grew on our coats.”
it made me want to buy a classic yellow raincoat so bad.
could be separation, death, or distance but overall powerful reflective piece. well penned.
Glad you liked it.
