I stand eating
corn on the cob
on my balcony
at six
in the morning
gazing at the Princes’ Islands
basking in the sun
listening to gulls
flying overhead
feeling peace
descend
on my world

In Kate's World
Another world!
Another part of the world maybe.
Yes it sounds idililic, sadly nothing is really idililic
We must enjoy the moments, even seconds, that we get.
Yes that is true in times like these!
Glad we agree.
😉
It would be wonderful if that peace could spread a bit wider!
Yes, it would. One corner of the world at a time, though.
I’ve had corn flakes at 6 am, but not corn on the cob (which I love). Sounds like a great way to start a day, especially viewing islands from the balcony.
Actually it was. And the corn is especially sweet this time of year. But I do have corn flakes, too, in reserve. The view is always there.
I hope your Peace remains.
Thanks. Me, too.
Sounds delightful, Leonard.

Actually it was.
We must relish those moments.
Leslie
Sounds nice…
Yes, it is.
Peaceful
It is in the simple moments where peaceful thoughts do occur, Leonard. 🙂 Seagulls and foreign scenery, plus corn on the cob, bring pleasant memories to my mind.
I’m glad this helped to bring those memories home to you.
