“Not that anybody asked, but one-third (95 out of 289) of all American Nobel Prizes in the Sciences have been earned by Immigrants to the United States.”

Stick that in your pipes and drink it! I love this perspective.
Me, too.
If immigrants can succeed in the Sciences and commerce and the military etc etc why can’t an immigrant succeed as a President. And does the same rule apply to state governors. It seems a pity to restrict it.
Well the Constitution clearly states that a person is only eligible to be president if they are a natural born citizn, a resident for at least 14 years, and at least 35 years of age. The “natural born citizen” requirement is what Trump kept harping on regarding Obama and the “birther” issue. It was, of course, disproved and he eventually dropped it but only after years of complaint.
Presumably legal immigrants! There is a difference. Many were processed coming through Ellis Island!
Interesztting that such intelligent/talented people chose to come to the US from their homelands. Wonder why?
Usually depends on conditions in their home country.
