My lover asks me by Nizar Kabbani

My lover asks me:
“What is the difference between me and the sky?”
The difference, my love,
Is that when you laugh,
I forget about the sky.

      • I fall behind on the blog, both posting and reading posts on blogs I follow because of my new job. I commute back and forth between Istanbul & Ankara, spending 4 days there in a hotel with poor internet access and 3 days home in Istanbul where I try to focus on my writing. This week, though, is Bayram, a holiday here, and I have the week off so I’m attempting to at least catch up as best I can before the commuting starts again next week. But I always enjoy your posts. Sorry I’ve been absent.
