Two People by Sowol KIm

Flake after flake
fleecy snow falls
carpeting the mountain pass.
Straw-sandaled, with leggings fastened,
a knap-sack on my back,
I start on my way, then turn around
to catch sight of her form, almost
erased.

translated by Jaihiun Kim & Ronald B. Hatch

    • Thank you, Aquileana. He happens to be one of my favorite Korean poets. I’m glad you liked this one. Everything is fine for me at my new job in Izmir. The people I coach are great, the surroundings are great, even my cat is happy. And how are you? I always enjoy yoır posts since I love mythology and am living in the part of the world where much of these stories took place.

      • Hi Leonard. Nice to hear from you and greta to know that all is doing well over there!… Even your cat is happy … Woot that is something!.
Thanks for the thoughtful words and always a pleasure to read your wonderful selections…
I doubt I would ever be able to know about them and then to get along with those kind of poems if not for you!. Hence, I thank you for introducing these poets to me!. Best wishes, Aquileana 😀
