from Cold Mountain Poems of Han Shan: 4

The peach would bloom through summer
but the wind and moon won’t wait
search for a man of the Han
could one of them still be alive
day after day the petals drift down
year after year we move on
where we raise the dust today
long ago was an endless sea

      • If we truly understood that, and stopped thinking we would live forever, or were able to keep things from changing, the world would certainly be a different place. We are here for such a short time and things change every second, knowing that wouldn’t you think we would want to spend the time we have doing something wonderful, instead of hurting and destroying things? I know I don’t understand it, that’s for sure.
